Qatar sports day is a public holiday in Qatar and is celebrated annually on the second Tuesday in February.
The main objective of the upcoming holiday is to promote a healthy lifestyle and active lifestyle within Qatar’s population.
Qatar Sports Day Brief History
Every year on the second Tuesday of February, an annual sports day is observed by all citizens in Qatar designated by The Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011. The state would like to encourage everyone to think of creative ways to get into shape and work on their physical fitness with family and friends
The first National Sports Day in Qatar was designated for sporting activities and was celebrated in 2012.
Sports day aimed to promote sports and educate people on how to minimize health risks, such as heart disease and diabetes.
Government and private organizations often organize hundreds of different events and sports for employees and their clients. Notably, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), and Aspire Zone all play a key role at various sporting events in Qatar.

National Sports Day Activities
